Virra Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 19th May 2026
1. Who We Are
Virra is an iOS application that analyses your short-form video content using artificial intelligence to help you improve performance before you post. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.
For privacy enquiries, contact: support@forklabs.co.uk
2. What Data We Collect and Why
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in using Sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real one — that is your choice to make.
We store your user identifier in our database solely to link your content and preferences to your account.
Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR): Performance of a contract — you cannot use the app without an account.
2.2 Content Preferences
During onboarding and in settings, you provide:
Your content category / niche (e.g. Fitness, Tech)
A written goal (free text, up to 500 characters)
Your target region (e.g. UK, US)
Your stated posting frequency
Your stated biggest creator challenge
These are stored in our database and used exclusively to personalise your video analysis and hashtag suggestions. They are never used for advertising.
Legal basis: Performance of a contract.
2.3 Videos You Upload for Analysis
When you submit a video for analysis, it is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our server infrastructure and then immediately forwarded to Google’s Gemini API for processing.
Once Gemini has completed the analysis, the video file is deleted from Google’s systems. We do not retain the video file on our own servers at any point.
The results of the analysis (grade, section notes, suggested hashtags) are stored in our database and associated with your account.
Analysis results and a single still-frame thumbnail extracted from your video are stored in our database and cloud storage (Supabase). The video file itself is not retained by Virra
Legal basis: Performance of a contract.
2.4 Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, trial eligibility, and renewal information on our behalf. We do not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat provides us with anonymised entitlement data only.
Legal basis: Performance of a contract; legitimate interests (preventing unauthorised access to paid features).
